In September 2016, the Town of Brome Lake took the necessary steps to obtain the Age-Friendly Municipality certification. This approach aims to revitalize the daily lives of people aged 65 and over, all in a healthy and safe environment. While properly equipping the municipal administration through a three-year plan, it plans to allow seniors to flourish by ensuring that they remain in their community as long as possible.

This policy is the culmination of more than 18 months of work by a steering committee and volunteers who have given their generous time to make Lac-Brome welcoming for seniors.
