The Centre Lac-Brome hosts the Recreation, Tourism, Culture and Community Life Department and a number of partner organizations offering services to the local community.

Recreation, Tourism, Culture and Community Life Department manages parks, beaches, children’s playgrounds and outdoor sports facilities.

  • We offer a wide range of classes and activities for children, adults and seniors. We also run summer day camps, swimming and tennis lessons.
  • Our Community Services programs include special services for families and seniors.

Food Bank

The Food Bank in Town of Brome Lake is run by local volunteers.

Monthly food distribution takes place on the third Friday of each month. Requests for food must be made by Tuesday (at least 4 days in advance).

If you need food:
Please call 450-242-2020 and choose extension 319. Leave your name, phone number and the number of people in your household on the answering machine. If it is the first time you have used the food bank, a volunteer will call you back.

If you would like to donate food:
Please bring non-perishable goods to the Centre Lac-Brome during office hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am to noon and 1 to 4:30 pm). We are unable to accept homemade items, for food safety reasons.

Christmas Food Basket: Those wishing to apply for a Christmas Food Basket may pick up an application form available at The Community Center in Knowlton. Residents of West Bolton, Lac Brome and Brome are eligible for the baskets, which come in large and small sizes according to the number of dependants. Applicants will be required to present proof of need, income, number of dependents and residency. The deadline for application is November 17th.
