Council meetings, how you have an impact as a citizen
Every citizen can have an impact on his or her environment by attending Town Council meetings. These meetings take place at the Centre Lac-Brome at 7 p.m.; they are public and all residents are invited to attend. Consult the meeting calendar below for times and dates. The agenda can be found below.
Council Operations and Question Periods
In order to be well informed, consult the agenda before you go to the session and prepare your questions if necessary. You will have two opportunities to ask them, at the beginning and at the end of each session. During those question periods, you have to raise your hand if you have a question and identify yourself when you are given the floor. You must then state your question clearly and precisely to the chair of the meeting. The latter will respond or, if necessary, ask the councilor responsible for the case to answer it.
