Every summer season, the water at Douglass Beach is evaluated by Quebec’s Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques. The objective is to ensure that bathers have information about the quality of the water, and can enjoy the Lake with complete peace of mind. A rating of A, B, C, or D is awarded, based on an analysis of the bacterial quality of the water.
Results are posted at the beach and the Town Hall throughout the summer.
