The Town Registry and Legal Affairs Service is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling all resources and activities related to the Town Clerk's Office and archives, as well as litigation involving the Town.
The director of the Town Clerk's Office and Legal Affairs attends Council meetings, prepares the minutes of all Council proceedings and is responsible for document management and municipal archives. He has custody of the books, registers, plans, maps, archives and other documents and papers belonging to the municipality, or which are produced, deposited and kept in the municipal office. He is also responsible for the preparation of numerous documents, including by-laws, the preparation and publication of public notices, and access to documents held by the Town.
He also advises political authorities, Town management and municipal departments on legal issues inherent to files or related to the development and implementation of municipal policies or processes, and ensures the diligent handling of contentious files involving or likely to involve the Town.

Located at the Centre Lac-Brome, this department's mission is to promote the development and support of social, recreational, cultural and tourism programs and resources for the citizens of Brome Lake. It is responsible for recreational activities organized for both youth and seniors.

Join the Recreation, Tourism, Culture and Community Life Department
The Fire and Public Safety Service is responsible for managing the fire department, the first responder service, as well as nautical and civil safety.

The Fire and Public Safety Service responds to emergencies such as fires, accidents, disasters, and rescues. Firefighters do everything in their power to protect citizens' lives and property. The Fire and Public Safety Service also plays a preventive role, assessing the risks present on the territory and identifying the best preventive measures to adopt.
Since the adoption of the Fire Safety Act, the Fire and Public Safety Service has been responsible for complying with a risk-coverage plan designed to reduce the loss of life and property in the event of fire. The plan covers every aspect of the service, from the vehicles to be used and the equipment required, to firefighters' response times.

The First Responders Service has been in existence since March 2003. It's a vital service offered by the Town of Brome Lake, and has already saved many lives by intervening in emergencies involving people in difficulty. It's a team much appreciated by users and the community alike!
