Municipal Elections 2025

On November 2, 2025, voters of Brome Lake will have the opportunity to elect their municipal representatives for the next four years. Your participation in this election is essential to shaping your community’s future.

Are you Registered on the Electoral List?

Make sure you are correctly registered on the electoral list and that your information is accurate to exercise your right to vote in the next municipal elections.

If your primary residence is in Brome Lake, you can verify your registration by contacting Élections Québec directly, on the information card or notice you receive by mail at the start of the election period, or by contacting the returning officer of the Town of Brome Lake.

If you are a non-resident voter (i.e., you own a second home in Brome Lake), you can verify your registration by contacting the returning officer for Brome Lake.

How do I Vote?

For Residents

Residents are invited to consult the Voter's Guide.

For Non-Residents

  • Non-residents must have been the owner of a building or occupant of a business establishment located in the municipality for at least 45 days from the reference date, which is the day of the election.
  • You must have submitted a registration application or proxy to the municipality within the required time frame.

What Identification do I Need to Vote?

To exercise your right to vote on November 2, 2025, you must present one of the following pieces of identification:

  • Québec health insurance card
  • Québec driver's license
  • Canadian passport
  • Certificate of Indian status
  • Canadian Forces identity card

If you do not have any of these identification documents, the election officials will direct you to the voter identification verification desk.

It is also recommended that you bring the registration notice or reminder card that you received by mail, if applicable, to facilitate the verification process.

How Does Mobile and Postal Voting Work?

In certain situations, voters can exercise their right to vote by mail in municipal elections, in accordance with the Act on elections and referendums in municipalities.

If you live in a shelter or healthcare facility recognized by the Ministry of Health and Social Services, you may vote from your room or apartment though mobile voting.

The Town of Brome Lake offers postal voting to non-resident voters (owners or co-owners of a building or occupants of a business establishment).

Advance voting: Sunday, October 26, 2025 from noon to 8 p.m. (Centre Lac-Brome for all districts)

General voting: Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.
