The risk of introducing invasive exotic species is significant. Several species, such as the zebra mussel, the spiny water flea, the fishhook waterflea and the Chinese mystery snail, are right at our doorstep. Their introduction into Brome Lake would threaten water users, the lake's biodiversity and surrounding property values.
