Work to flush the water system will begin on Monday, September 8, in the Town of Brome Lake and will continue for approximately two weeks.
Reminder: this annual procedure is designed to ensure good drinking water quality, remove manganese and iron particles from the pipes, and maintain the water system in good condition.
Please note that this is not a boil water advisory. Cloudy water is not harmful to your health.
Work will begin in the Knowlton area on September 8 and last for about a week.
The following week, from September 15 to 19, our team will move to the Bondville sector.
Here is what this could mean for you:
After the flushing work, the team will conduct its annual inspection of all fire hydrants in the area until the end of September.
During this period, check the condition of the water before drinking it or doing laundry (avoid doing laundry between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. as much as possible). If it is cloudy, open the cold water tap and let it run for about 15 minutes until it becomes clear again.
