• Position: On-call firefighter (volunteer)
• Status: Part-time, based on operational needs
• Location: Lac-Brome Fire Station (27 Mont-Écho Road), with interventions across Lac-Brome, West Bolton, and the Village of Brome
• Schedule: Emergency calls as needed
• Start date: As soon as possible!

What if I don’t have the training? 

No problem!
If selected, you’ll be offered the Firefighter I basic training, which must be completed within 24 months of hiring, as required by the École nationale des pompiers du Québec. The training totals 255 hours and is held evenings and weekends.

Profile we're looking for

We're seeking reliable, dedicated individuals who want to serve their community. You must:

• Be 18 years or older;
• Hold or commit to obtaining the Firefighter I certificate within 24 months;
• Hold or commit to obtaining a Class 4A driver's license within 3 months of hiring;
• Maintain a minimum 65% attendance rate for trainings and emergency calls;
• Live in Lac-Brome, West Bolton, or Brome;
  (Priority will be given to those living within 8 minutes of the fire station)
• Pass a medical exam and submit a health declaration stating you are fit to perform firefighter duties;
• Demonstrate team spirit, calm under pressure, sound judgment, and a strong sense of service.

Compensation

• Competitive hourly wage, in accordance with the current collective agreement
