Town of Brome Lake is looking for a person available full-time for caretaking and reception of groups at the Brome Lake community centre. Under the supervision of the director of recreation, tourism, culture and community life, the caretaker will mainly perform the following functions:
Main tasks related to the position
Responsibilities related to the Centre Lac-Brome:
Perform regular cleaning of the Brome Lake Center;
Clean and disinfect as needed, furnishings, walls and floors;
Perform maintenance work inside and outside the Brome Lake Center;
Welcome the users of the Brome Lake Center and direct them to the premises intended for them;
Prepare rooms for activities and ensure the accessibility of equipment, according to the rental agreement and the policy in force;
Take down and organize the rooms and equipment after the activities, according to the rental agreement;
Ensure the closing of, during the week and the opening and closing on weekends, of the washrooms located at the park level;
Ensure the security of the building and equipment;
All other related tasks at the request of the director.
Responsibilities related to the cleaning of various municipal buildings:
Ensure cleanliness and general maintenance
Report any problems requiring repairs to your supervisor.
Comply with current health and safety standards.
Requirements
Experience in janitorial work.
Organized.
Autonomy, resourcefulness, and a sense of responsibility.
Good customer service.
Comfortable interacting with the public.
Good knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques.
Comfortable communicating in both French and English.
Schedule
Full time position
A varied work schedule (day, evening, and weekends).
