The Town of Brome Lake First Responders Department is looking for First Responders. This position is open to residents of Brome Lake, West-Bolton, and Brome.
Job Description
Respond to requests assigned by the Health Communication Centre (CCS);
Respond to the site of the intervention;
Assess the situation;
Perform a stabilization of the victim(s) and prevent deterioration of his/her condition until the arrival of paramedics;
Transfer responsibility to the EMTs.
Requirements
Be domiciled within the territorial limits of the Town of Brome Lake and West-Bolton;
Be at least 18 years;
Own a vehicle;
Must have a valid driver's licence (possess class 4 is an asset and will be required later);
High school or equivalent education;
Availability 12 hours a day; On scheduled on-call shifts (minimum of 4 shifts per month)
Provide a medical certificate on request relating to the ability to perform the duties of a First Responder;
Physically fit and able to lift a load of approximately 35 lbs (15 kg);
Follow CISSS guidelines and protocols for PR3;
No criminal file;
Bilingual (Functional)
Work Schedule
12-hour shifts during which you must be available to respond to all emergency calls;
A minimum of 4 availability per month;
On-call pay & emergency call pay.
