Town of Brome Lake is seeking an experienced individual to support the administration of its Town Clerk's Department. Under the supervision of the Director, Town Registry and Legal Affairs, the candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the department's activities and processes, including various administrative tasks and assisting with the management of the Town's archives.
Responsibilities
Carries out the archiving of files for the entire organization in accordance with the document management policy, classification plan and retention schedule;
Participates in the implementation of a new integrated document management system;
Drafts, corrects, proceeds with the layout and translates certain administrative documents related, in particular, to the preparation and follow-up of council meetings and other internal committees, municipal by-laws, contracts and agreements;
During election periods, carries out various administrative tasks related to the different stages of the process;
Carries out any other related tasks required by her/his superior.
Qualifications
University certificate in archival science or college diploma in documentation technology, or other relevant training;
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.
Excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written;
Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, more specifically Outlook, Word and Excel;
Skills and Aptitudes
Ability to learn new software or work platforms;
Good knowledge of document management software, such as Syged or Constellio, is an asset;
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing;
Ability to identify priorities and work on multiple files simultaneously;
Ability to work independently, to be highly organized and rigorous, and to take initiative;
Ability to process texts, reports and documents with dexterity, speed and precision;
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

35-hour work week, over a 4.5-day period
