When submitting a permit application, how long does it take to receive a response?

  • Response to calls, emails or online requests: 7 working days.
  • Issuance of a simple permit (once we have received your duly completed application with all attached documents): 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Issuance of permits involving a site planning and architectural integration program (SPAIP) or a minor variance: 8 to 12 weeks.

Do I need a permit to light an open fire?

Every time you want to light an open fire, whether for a campfire or to burn branches on your property, you MUST apply for a fire permit by filling out the form available here. (Lien à ajouter) Any open fire without a permit is liable to a fine.
