Under the supervision of the Public Works Manager, the candidate will carry out various tasks related to the municipality's public works.

Main tasks related to the position

  • Maintain municipal parks (empty garbage cans, pick up broken branches, etc.) 
  • Participate in the maintenance of municipal buildings 
  • Inspect the equipment before departure 
  • Perform snow removal in the assigned sector 
  • Repair paving and road shoulders 
  • Repair and install road signs 
  • Trim trees 
  • Maintain trails and parks 
  • Any other related tasks 

Job requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Class 3 driver's license (asset) 
  • Experience as a snow removal vehicle operator (asset) 
  • Good sense of direction 
  • Patient, versatile, reliable, honest, punctual and resourceful 
  • Bilingualism an asset

Required profile

  • Enjoy working outside
  • Able to use and handle machinery, equipment and products 
  • Able to perform heavy work (no physical limitations) and tolerant of different climates 
  • Ability to work in a team 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Demonstrate autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility 
  • Versatility 

Work schedule

  • 40 hours/week from Monday to Friday and depending on the needs of the municipality and weather conditions, may be evenings and weekends 
  • Available as needed (evenings and weekends) 
  • Salary: $26.11 per hour
