The Town of Brome Lake is Adapting Its Administrative Structure
Brome Lake, January 10, 2023 – The Town of Brome Lake is implementing a few adjustments to its administrative structure in order to support the significant growth that the municipality is experiencing. As part of these changes, Robert Daniel will take on the role of Assistant General Director while retaining his position as Director of Public Works and Technical Services. Mr. Daniel has been an employee of the Town for the past 8 years.
This nomination brings changes to the organizational chart of the Public Works department, as Marc-André Boivin becomes Assistant Director of Technical Services, while Laura Lee is promoted to the position of Department Head of Technical Services. Jean-Philippe Roy will assume the position of Department Head of Public Works.
The Town is also announcing the creation of a Communications and Citizen Relations Department. Ghyslain Forcier, who has been in charge of communications for nearly five years, is taking the lead of this new division, which will be complemented by a Communications Agent, Jules Dumontet.
Two additional positions, one in environment and one in human resources, will also be added to the Town’s organizational chart in the coming quarter.
“This reorganization will support our growth”, said Gilbert Arel, General Director of Town of Brome Lake. “It will also make our structure more capable of dealing with future issues, including climate-related issues, and with the new reality of the job market.”
“These changes have been the subject of much thinking and reflection. The size of our administrative structure must be in line with the increasing demands of our growing population,” said Brome Lake Mayor Richard Burcombe. ” For the Council and for myself, this evolution is a logical step in order to maintain the level of service offered to our citizens.”
Council approved these changes at its monthly meeting on January 9.
