Notice – Residual Materials Collection and Transportation

At the special meeting held on Wednesday, October 16, the Town granted a contract for the collection and transportation of residual materials to Services Ricova, the company with which it currently does business.

Two bidders participated in the call for tenders, Enviro Connexions ($2,367,075.07, taxes included) and Services Ricova ($2,364,738.77, taxes included). These bids cover the total possible contract period (37 months, from December 1,, 2024 to December 31, 2027).

In accordance with the Cities and Towns Act, the lowest compliant bidder won the call for tenders.

The summary of the new contract:

  • The Council awarded the contract to Services Ricova for an initial period of 13 months (from December 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025) in the amount of $940,407.22, taxes included.
  • The contract provides that the Council may exercise renewal options for the years 2026 and 2027.
  • The contract contains criteria for evaluating Services Ricova’s performance.
